Run was her first release that reached the top spot on the ARIA albums chart. ARIA certified her debut album, Run, with the gold certification. Tolman received accolades for her performance as Minnesota Police Officer Molly Solverson, with Vanity Fair saying her that she "calmly and undoubtedly completely stole the film". Tolman was awarded the Critics' Choice Television Award for her performance in the category Best Supporting Actress in the category of movies/ministries. Also she was nominated in the category of Best Actress were received at the Emmy Awards as well as the Golden Globes. That following time, in the same year it was also revealed that Tolman would have a two-episode guest appearance on The Mindy Project, playing Abby Berman, a romance novelist. The year 2015 was the last time she played a supporting role in Michael Dougherty's comedy film Krampus. Tolman turned down several roles in supporting characters like best friends, parents, spouses and even husbands after her breakthrough role on Fargo. The actress was searching for an unusual role. Tolman was cast on ABC's Downward Dog based off the Animal Media Group webseries. The show ended after one year. Tolman played in ABC's Emergence drama that debuted on September 24, 2019, but was pulled by ABC following one year of airing in May of 2020. despite Tolman posting on Twitter that the ratings were "pretty good". She was also an actor on NBC's Good Girls. In 2021, she starred in the role of Alma Filcott in the second season of the drama show Why Women Kill, and played Natalie Green in The Facts of Life part of the third edition of Live in Front of a Studio Audience.
